Dakota Casanova

NOTES: Dakota Casanova, aka Nova, is a beautiful 4-year-old, 15.1hh registered smokey grullo gelding. If you’re looking for a wonderful young prospect that is going to turn heads no matter where you go, Nova is your guy. He has it all! He has a great personality. Nova is easy to handle and be around. He loves people and attention. Nova is intelligent, eager to learn new things and retains what he is taught. He’s athletic with great movement, hard stops, easy turn arounds and spins. He has smooth transitions, from walk, trot, and canter, knows his leads and has excellent lead departures. He is soft in the face, bridles up and moves off leg pressure. Nova’s confirmation is outstanding. He is put together the way a horse should be with substantial bone and foot. And all of that is wrapped up in a color that is stunning! When Nova came to us in April of his 3-year-old year, he was unstarted. All his education has been done by Terry, who has almost 30 years of experience starting colts and training horses. So, you can be assured that he has been in good hands and brought along correctly. Nova has been trail ridden in a wide variety of terrain by himself and with other horses. He goes where you point him and handles everything with ease. He is traffic and farm machinery safe. We have used him to check cows and sort calves. He has also been tracking and roping the dummy. He goes through the obstacle course; across the tarps and the teeter totter, opens and closes gates. He stands for the farrier, ties, cross ties, hobbles, high ties, bathes, clips and loads in the trailer. If you’re looking for a partner to trail ride, a great rope prospect or ranch versatility horse, Nova’s got what you need. Give us a call, 563-212-4686. Terry and I(Kate) will be happy to visit with you and answer any questions. More photos and videos at our website, www.tietjenperformancehorses.com
