NOTES: Poco Blackburn Rey, affectionately named by our 3-year-old daughter as Ronald, is a stunning 6-year-old 15.2hh registered Palomino gelding. Ronald is by far the barn favorite. Everyone that handles, rides, and spends time with him, absolutely loves him. I can’t say enough about his personality. Whether you are looking for a horse to do a day’s work, compete in the arena, go for a leisurely ride down the trail or spend time pampering your equine partner, Ronald has the experience, training, ability, and personality to take care of you. Ronald was started as a 2-year-old. He was given a solid foundation and brought along slowly. He has day worked in Arkansas and Iowa, moving, and sorting cattle and dragging calves. Ronald has also been used to halter train and start colts and pony horses down the trail. We have also tracked and roped the dummy in the arena. Ronald is extremely easy to ride. He one hand neck reins and moves off leg pressure. He is traffic and farm machinery safe. Ronald has smooth and easy transitions from walk, trot, and canter. He knows his leads and has a very nice lead departure. He stands great for the farrier, ties, cross ties, highline ties, hobbles, clips, loves to be bathed and loads himself.
